1. Procedures of teaching
1.1 Preparation:
Understand the
Curriculum: Carefully study the content and objectives of the lesson and the
program content. Determine the background knowledge and key knowledge of the
lesson.
Choose Teaching Methods: Choose
the appropriate method. Integrate many teaching methods together such as
discussion method, learning game method, practice method to make the lesson
more lively
Prepare Teaching
Materials: Ensure that all necessary tools, specimens, images, videos, etc.,
are ready for the lesson.
Develop a Lesson Plan:
Write a detailed plan that includes the lesson objectives, content, methods,
timing, activities for both the teacher and students, and reference materials.
1.2 Teaching:
Activity 1: Warm-Up
Create a fun, vibrant atmosphere for the classroom,
excite students with a vibrant song. Connect to the new lesson.
Activity 2: Create new knowledge
Teachers will organize this activity through learning
games or group discussions so that students can explore and draw conclusions
about new knowledge of the lesson. For the activities to run smoothly and
achieve optimal efficiency, teachers can integrate images and videos through
powerpoint presentations. In addition, in the process of exploring new
knowledge, if students have difficulty learning, teachers can give examples or
combine illustrative teaching methods.
Activity 3: Practice activities
Because it is new knowledge, when entering the
practical activity, students will practice in groups. This not only reinforces
the knowledge they have just learned, but during the group practice, students
can support each other to achieve good results and improve the effectiveness of
the lesson.
Activity 4: Apply
Using games and having students
summarize lessons will help them understand the main points better. Talking
about how to use their knowledge in real life will encourage critical thinking
and help them apply what they've learned. This will improve their critical
thinking skills and show them the value of knowledge in everyday situations.
Activity 5: Assessment
During this phase, we will use
various assessment methods, including short quizzes, group presentations, and
student feedback. These approaches will help students recognize their strengths
and areas for improvement, enhancing their motivation and engagement. The goal
of the assessment process is to create a positive learning environment that
supports students in their academic growth.
2. Time management and organizing activities
Activity 1:
This activity will last approximately 10 minutes and will involve engaging the
class through lively methods such as games, singing, or storytelling. These
activities can be conducted with the whole class, in groups, or individually.
Activity 2:
Lasting around 20 minutes, this activity will include prompting questions and
analytical assessments to assist students in the process of analysis and
reflection on their learning experiences.
Activity 3:
This 25-minute activity will focus on solving basic exercises, allowing
students to practice identifying and applying fundamental problem-solving steps
and formulas. The teacher will observe to help students recognize their
challenges, reiterate key rules and calculations, and guide them through
resolving difficulties by reviewing the previously mentioned.bDuring this
activity, the teacher may assign exercises to the entire class, to individuals,
or to pairs and small groups.
Activity 4:
This activity will take about 15 minutes and will involve students practicing
and applying individual units of knowledge from the lesson. The teacher will
help students understand the practical significance of the knowledge, deepening
their understanding of the material covered.
Activity 5:
This will occur concurrently with the other activities. The teacher will
conduct assessments by observing students as they complete learning tasks,
answer simple questions, or solve exercises directly on the board or on
worksheets.
Throughout the lesson, all students remain focused; however, there are still some who occasionally lose concentration. In such instances, I will provide a prompt or ask students to perform a few physical movements to help regain their focus. Arranging seating for students is an important aspect of classroom management. Teachers can organize seating according to their preferences to enhance control within the classroom.
4. Problem-Solving During Teaching and Within the Designated School
Language barriers present the greatest challenge in classroom organization. Students often struggle to understand the teacher's instructions and have difficulty articulating their responses, which also complicates classroom management for the teacher.
To address these issues, I utilize more non-verbal communication and provide instructions that are tailored to the students' comprehension levels, making it easier for them to understand and express themselves.
