GENERAL INFORMATION AND

ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION IN SD SUPRIYADI 02

To achieve good results in practical training, it is essential to engage in real-world experiences and understand the school better. Exploring the local situation where the school is located is a practical task that allows me to grasp the difficulties and advantages during my practical training. From there, I can develop directions and propose appropriate measures.

Through my research, I have gained basic insights into Supriyadi 02 Elementary School, including the achievements it has attained along with its strengths and challenges. After listening to the report from Principal Karsono, M.Pd, I realized that Supriyadi 02 Elementary School has a rich historical tradition and embodies a spirit of self-reliance and resilience in overcoming difficulties and challenges. The school has a dedicated and knowledgeable teaching staff who are passionate about their profession and care for their students. In particular, I noticed the high spirit and awareness of participation in various movements and activities among both teachers and students at the school.

C. LEARNING SYSTEM

1. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE EDUCATIONAL UNIT

SD Supriyadi 02 is a school under the auspices of the Al-Falah Islamic Education Foundation in Semarang. It is a religious-based school with educators, teaching staff, and students who are all Muslim. The character of SD Supriyadi 02 as an Islamic-based school will be implemented in every school program.

The Merdeka Curriculum is an effort to realize the vision of Indonesian education aimed at achieving an advanced, sovereign, and independent Indonesia, characterized by the creation of the Pancasila Student Profile. SD Supriyadi 02 is one of the schools implementing the Independent Merdeka Curriculum (IKM) pathway. Schools in the IKM independent pathway are those where the principal and teachers apply the Merdeka Curriculum using teaching materials available in the educational unit, in line with the vision of SD Supriyadi 02 to create intelligent, scholarly, and morally upright generations. As an Islamic-based school, it focuses on the holistic development of students' learning outcomes, which includes competencies (literacy and numeracy) and character. This begins with superior human resources (the principal and teachers), and the motto CENDEKIA (intelligent with Islamic character) will be the spirit for SD Supriyadi 02 in achieving its vision and mission.

The philosophy of Ki Hajar Dewantara regarding the development of character (creativity, work, willpower, and sports) is integrated into a cohesive whole, which consists of:

1. Ing ngarso sung tuladho (the parent or teacher serves as a role model for children and students)

2. Ing madya mangun karso (those in the middle provide enthusiasm and supportive ideas)

3. Tut wuri handayani (those behind provide motivation). Liberating education is education centered on the students, allowing them the freedom to grow and develop both physically and spiritually. Students are provided with education that is joyful and not constrained by rules that may hinder their development.

The operational curriculum at SD Supriyadi 02 is tailored to the unique characteristics of the school as an Islamic-based institution, aligning with the conditions of the educational unit and the characteristics of its students. In its development, the operational curriculum will refer to the Learning Achievements formulated by the central government, which are translated into Learning Objectives concretized in the learning process.

The preparation and development of the Operational Curriculum at SD Supriyadi 02 focus on meeting the needs of students by developing competencies relevant to the changes of the 21st century, prioritizing Islamic character education. The location of SD Supriyadi 02 is strategic, situated on a busy road frequented by public transportation owned by the Semarang city government. The school is also close to places of worship and health services that support character education through the Pancasila Student Profile.

The background of the students is at a medium to upper education and economic level, with adequate facilities supporting both curricular and extracurricular learning processes. All students come from Muslim families. Culturally and socially, students have diverse backgrounds due to some parents working in private companies, being self-employed, or in government service and military/police. Additionally, students have a wide variety of interests and talents. Based on these differences, the Pancasila Student Profile can be implemented comprehensively at SD Supriyadi 02 with the motto "SANG CENDEKIA" (Students who are intelligent with Islamic character). Therefore, in the preparation of the Operational Curriculum, the characteristics of students with all their backgrounds are a primary consideration to ensure equitable education within diversity that can dynamically adapt to developments.

The ultimate goal of Learning Achievements integrated with the Pancasila Student Profile is to shape students' character to cultivate faith, devotion to God Almighty, moral integrity, global diversity, independence, critical thinking, cooperation, and creativity while accommodating that diversity.

The operational curriculum in the educational unit contains all the plans for the learning processes organized within that unit, serving as a guide for all learning activities. To make it meaningful, the operational curriculum is developed according to the context and needs of the students and the educational unit.

The curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements regarding objectives, content, and materials, as well as the methods used as a guide for organizing learning activities to achieve specific educational goals (National Education System Law/2003). The central government establishes the framework and structure of the curriculum as a reference for developing the operational curriculum in educational units. The components in this operational curriculum are arranged to facilitate thinking processes and enhance the educational unit.

2. OBJECTIVES OF DEVELOPING OPERATIONAL CURRICULUM FOR EDUCATIONAL UNITS

Based on the mandate of the legislation as outlined above, SD Supriyadi 02 is developing and organizing the school curriculum for the Academic Year 2023/2024. This operational curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements concerning the objectives, content, teaching materials, and methods used as guidelines for organizing learning activities to achieve educational goals at SD Supriyadi 02. The Operational Curriculum for the Educational Unit for the Academic Year 2023/2024 is designed to strengthen character by internalizing core values to shape the character of students, fostering faith, devotion to God Almighty, moral integrity, global diversity, independence, critical thinking, cooperation, and creativity while accommodating that diversity.

SD Supriyadi 02 has students with diverse characteristics, including interests, cognitive development, learning styles, emotional, social, moral, spiritual, and motor development. This diversity can serve as a foundation for organizing various school programs and selecting appropriate approaches and teaching methods. Through effective interaction between teachers and students, this diversity of characteristics can support the successful achievement of the intended goals. Educators and educational staff form an inseparable unit, as their presence ensures that all educational activities run smoothly. Educators and educational staff play a strategic role in the educational process, particularly in efforts to shape character and develop personality as well as the values that are aspired to.
